New Director of Clubhouse Central

We have some good news to report to you. Once again, we want to thank Lois Macklin for her leadership of Clubhouse during the past 12 years. Her impact on these young lives has been tremendous. We thank her for her service and wish her the best in her move to Florida.

Thank your for your prayers for us as we have been in the search process for a new director. We received many qualified candidates. In the past month, we learned that Lois has worn many “hats” over the years (from teaching, administration, etc.). Moving forward, our Staff Parish Team wanted to not only bring in a new director, but to provide support and diversify the load. We want Clubhouse Central not only to continue to grow in depth and in numbers (as space allows) but also continue to make sure kids grow to know that God knows them, God loves them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Therefore, we are excited to welcome Kayla Myers as the new director of Clubhouse Central! Kayla brings experience, passion and love for children to this ministry. Kayla’s first day will be May 29th. Kayla’s bio is below.

We are also excited to announce two new promotions from within Clubhouse. Meghan Stamps will be the lead of Preschool Ministry and Beth Manuel will be the lead of after school and administration. They both have been dedicated to the kids in Clubhouse for many years and their experience is invaluable.

Thank you again for support and for trusting us with your children. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

On behalf of the Staff Parish Team,

Scott

Bio: Kayla Myers

My name is Kayla Myers and I am excited to be joining the Clubhouse Central team. I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Development and a minor in Sociology. I have had the opportunity to be a part of the Knox County Head Start for the past three years.

I have had the pleasure of watching my own child learn, grow, and strive at Clubhouse Central. My goal is to provide an environment that allows each child to grow in their walk with the Lord, giving them a positive, loving, Christian setting. I want to instill a love for learning in all children allowing them to explore all areas of development. My approach is to provide the teachers with the tools and guidance to accommodate children's natural curiosity and to fully support each child while building problem solving skills and confidence.

I am excited and looking forward to meeting you soon!
