Central is excited to welcome Annie Kate Leinius as a summer intern!
This summer, Annie Kate will be volunteering as an intern with the church to gain a clearer understanding of the calling God has for her life. She will be working to form relationships with the Central congregation, as well as the surrounding community. Annie Kate will offer support to the office staff, volunteer during Vacation Bible School, and serve at River Oaks Assisted Living. By serving in those areas, she hopes to grow in her communication and teaching skills, develop relationships with the children and youth, and understand the needs for the senior adult ministry.
Background
Annie Kate grew up in Oak Ridge TN where she attended First United Methodist Church. During her time there, she was involved with the choir, youth group, and various other programs.
This past summer, Annie Kate and her family decided to join Central. Since then, she has enjoyed forming relationships with the young adults in the AsOne Sunday school class and members of the congregation.
Annie Kate will be a rising senior at Emory and Henry College this fall where she is pursuing a B.S. degree in Civic Innovation with a minor in Religion.
