Director of TECHNOLOGY

A self-described “misplaced Yankee,” Russell has called Tennessee home for over 23 years and is still happily learning his way around. He first came to Central to support his wife, Alicia, as she sang in worship and soon found himself serving behind the scenes—initially upstairs in the tech booth, where he jokes he could avoid handshakes.

Russell now serves as our Tech Director, bringing creativity, curiosity, and a little bit of colorful flair to everything he does. A lifelong fan of sci-fi and fantasy, he’s always on the lookout for a great story -- whether it's through books or stories to tell. These days, he uses his gifts to help create meaningful, distraction-free worship experiences where everyone can see, hear, and engage on Sunday mornings. When he's not working, he's spending time with Alicia, their kids, and a few well-loved cats.
