CENTRAL STUDENTS

Our Mission

Our mission at Central Students is to embrace, engrain, enrich, and empowerthe middle and high school students of Loudon County and Lenoir City.

We embrace students regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what they have done.

We engrain students with true value based only on the love of Christ.

We enrich students with the wisdom and teachings from the Bible.

We empower students to live out these truths and invite others to be apart of God’s kingdom.

What We Do

We offer ourselves to God daily

(Romans 12:1)

We make worship and praise apart of our lives (Luke 4:8)

We listen to the words of Scripture and put them into practice

(John 14:15)

Love God

We love others because it is a commandment (John 13:34) and God first loved us (1 John 4:7-21)

We look at those around us, both Christian and unchristian, in the same way Christ looks at them.

We take full advantage of our time together with other believers, laughing, learning, and enjoying life.

Love Others

We are confident our self-worth is found in Christ’s love for us.

We believe we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139: 13-16).

We believe we are God’s masterpieces

(Ephesians 2:10).

Love Self

Based on Matthew 22:36-40: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

What We Value

Respect
In our speech and action, we respect the time, feelings, and questions that others have. Respect covers a multitude of issues.

1 .

Service

Serving others is a foundational part of who we are as Christians. Without it, we miss out on both blessing others and being blessed ourselves.

2 .

Community

Everyone wants a place where they belong. A safe and warm home allows students to be themselves and grow not only closer with friends, but to God.

3 .

Teaching

The truth of the Bible is vital for our development as believers. We make it a priority to unpack the lessons, wisdom, and hope of Scripture.

4 .

Fun

We will always make time for laughter and excitement. Life can be hard sometimes and we understand the importance of getting away from that through games and events!

5 .

Evan is a native of southwest Virginia and has lived in Knoxville for two years now. He became active in the church when he was 10 years old and shortly after felt a call to ministry. After finishing up his undergrad at Liberty with a degree in Biblical Studies, he went back to his home church where he served as the Children's Pastor for two years. Since then, he felt a call to youth ministry, moved to Lenoir City, and got married! He is currently studying at Asbury Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Masters of Divinity. In his free time, Evan enjoys writing, playing video games, and being outside.
