Good Morning Central, I trust you are surviving the heat of summer. I must say I like the mornings best. In recent weeks I have discovered the Greenbelt here in LC and that is a great place to run or walk in the shade and in peace. Check it out. A couple quick hits 1) We continue to have a steady flow of applications for the director of music and worship position. The application deadline is July 17th. Please continue to pray for God to lead the right person to us. 2) Camp Week - I am a minister of residence (MIR) at Wesley Woods beginning this Sunday afternoon. We have several kids from church attending this week. Evan is also serving as a MIR at Camp Bays Mountain in Kingsport. MIR's do the morning and evening speaking and participate with all the kids during the day. 3) I'm looking forward to preaching this Summer Playlist series. The song this week is 500 miles. 4) I leave you with the verse for today from Ephesians 5:1-2, "Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." The thing to note from this verse is the understanding of love. The love Paul defines of Jesus is more than emotional love; true love involves sacrifice.
