MISSIONS OF CENTRAL

At Central, we believe church is more than Sundays.  The church does not just have a missions program; the church is mission.  All throughout the year, Central seeks to engage people with the love and message of Christ across the street and around the world.  Following the guidance of Acts 1:8, we seek to provide support for local, regional, national and International mission partners.  Our mission effort is funded through a budget totally separate from our general operating budget. It is raised through our annual Missions Festival Weekend and Faith Promise Giving for Missions.

Our mission team meets monthly. If you would like to learn more about missions and how to get involved, email the church office at cumc@centralmethodist.com.

Mission Celebration Weekend

Our Missions Celebration Weekend is held each spring. During the weekend we seek to inform, involve and inspire. We inform and expose our congregation to the breadth of our mission work nearby and far away. We give people a variety of ways to become involved in meaningful mission work. We offer opportunities for people to hear directly from our mission partners. These mission partners offer workshops during Sunday school to share about their work. At the end of the Missions Festival Weekend everyone is given an opportunity to prayerfully discern the amount of financial support they believe God is calling them to give by faith specifically to missions work. This is what we call Faith Promise Giving for Missions.
